Hahahahahahahaha.....

Well people, tomorrow I will be heading of for parts unknown, all by my lonesome. It's a girls weekend retreat and I am the only girl going.

My mind is so full of schedules, menus, chores, and everyday living all twisting around like fall leaves in a whirlwind, and occasionally it is a swirling vortex of terror.

You know how sometimes you think, "Stop the world I wanna get off!"?

Well, I know the world won't stop for me but I am going to step off the merry-go-round that is my life for a couple of days and try to rediscover the stillness and peace and quiet in myself.

We live in the mountains, which are quite lovely, so I am thinking of heading to the beach for a welcome change of pace.

I found my kindergarten in Hampton Virginia-maybe I'll take a stroll down memory lane and see what Virginia Beach looks like now. Or maybe a little trip to the Outer Banks and the oldest Coast Guard Station...

I don't know where I'll end up, but I do like the idea of just getting in my car and driving til I feel like stopping.

Actually right now a tent in a field wouldn't be all that bad either.

Excuse me, I have laundry to do and a bit of packing as well so I'll be ready to go bright and early!

Ta Ta for now!

Wow!! Do I need one of those trips right now!!! You have no idea. I'm in a rut, and it's getting me down. Tied down to responsibility, mortgage, job, etc. Maybe daylight savings time will help some this weekend? :-)

Take notes, and pictures...I need a full report of what you did so I can live vicariously through you. :-) :-)

Have fun this weekend. And be safe.

I am not thinking of this as a vacation at all-more like serious mental health days-you know what I mean. Is daylight savings this weekend? I am so out of it. I am going to bring my laptop and my camera, so notes and pics are a definite possibility. I plan on having fun of the quiet restful sort, mostly watching the waves I think and will do my best to be safe.

Well...someone here started the daylight savings time rumor. If it turns out to be false, I'll be stricken with grief and sorrow.

OK, so that might be a bit of an exaggeration. :-)

CWG-How nice to see you here-you will find plenty of incentive to remain childless. We-and once me-drive to So. Fl. a couple times of year to see my parental unit-I think you have a long 2 days heading your way-have fun!
HD-I do not need a motorcycle! I can't even get a 4-wheeler past
2nd gear these days! I'll just rely on my handy dandy cell phone to clue me on the correct time!

Hope you had fun! I love a good road trip. I did very well driving across the country by myself... I like driving and not talking to people.

I have been remiss with so much work, arguments and illness in my family. Hope all is well. Our house will be empty for a few days if you need a refuge. Hugs

Spellbound-Refuge, what a lovely word.
