Just a quick "Hello!"

(The light at the end of the tunnel)

HI!
How did a week pass without me noticing?
Things are better here. The pain is mostly gone, though the numbness, weakness and a strange feeling like my leg wants to throw up still plague me.
I am on my way to the kitchen to prepare supper.
Just simple spaghetti and meatballs tonight.
Confession: The meatballs are from the freezer section of my grocery store.
Sometimes you just gotta accept a little help-and it's a step up from Big Daddy D's idea of cooking supper...10 burgers from the dollar menu at Sonic!
The sauce is from scratch at least.

Catch ya later taters!

OOOOH OOOOH OOOOH!!!!!! I almost forgot!
I sold a pair of handwarmers!
I didn't ask for enough moolah but heck-I haven't sold anything in months so I'll take it. And then spend it all on the best bowl of udon and tempura I've had to date-which I did!

Okay, now I'm outta here. I can hear tummies rumbling from here.

My my my, my tattoo...

Okay. Take the two top pictures and then combine the best of both and then place the base of the limb at the inside of my left elbow with branches extending down the inside of my forearm, the tips ending at my wrist. Then imagine that the limb has a fork in it and that the second limb branches up to the outside of my upper arm.
You might have to squint your eyes a bit to get the picture but that is OK. I don't want something too stylized like the first forearm pic, or as dark as the second forearm pic and the branch is going in the wrong direction in each of those. The upper arm tattoo pictured above is altogether too dark and masculine for me but it serves for illustrative purposes.
I really love the loose yet realistic style and colors in the acrylic painting and the stamen detail in the photograph.
So that is the idea of what I want. It will cover a lot of area without being heavy and well, it just feels right.
Cherry blossoms have different meanings depending upon which culture you ask, and all of them are appropriate.
In Japan they represent the beauty and transience of life. In China they represent feminine beauty, strength, and grace. There is an element of remembrance in every interpretation and I like that too.
I am ready.

I love myself

Today I committed to writing one thing I love about myself.

Sorry Head Possum, I forgot to post the guidelines.

They go something like this.

I write something I love/like about myself.

And you, my readers do the same in the comments.

I in return will tell you what I like about you.

So here goes.

I love that I finally had to courage to take my body back from grief.

Being strong enough to be the person I want to be physically and emotionally is a constant challenge and I am glad to take on the task every day.

I love that I have the courage to sport my super red hair. It is so red, so vibrant and to me reflects my newfound bravery in first recognizing what I want and then being bold enough to go for it. Looking back and smiling at the people who are taken aback by the sheer redness of my hair does something for me.

I am not ashamed.

I am brave.

I love my body.

I love myself.

Your turn.
