This video is from March when I went to Wrightsville Beach alone and cried for 3 days.
But the ocean was awesome wasn't it? Listening to the waves again made me want to go back and be happy this time.
I especially like how that person jogged out to do the same thing I was, I didn't notice it at the time.

Even though crying for 3 days is never a particularly pleasant thing....there could be worse places to do it. :-) :-) Beautiful video!!!!!!!

Oh yeah...it was sooo beautiful-and later that morning there were kayakers. I have pictures. And one of them was cracking me up. Kept doing his safety check over and over(I think he was working up his nerve actually)and in the meantime the tide is going out so he has to move farther down the beach to catch a wave and he's hopping and bouncing like a frog on a hot skillet...It was the funniest thing I'd seen in ages. Especially cool though is that when they both finally got out there riding the waves a pos of dolphins joined them! It was so exciting to watch. I am definitely going back.

Oh man!!! The idea of kayaking on the sea, and then adding in dolphins to the mix. Makes me want to go get my kayak out right now.

we have snow forecasted for the week...so maybe not. :-)

Plus dolphins don't live in your waters.
But snow!!!!!
Only rain forcast here :(

No, I'd have to hope for a really big catfish or something. :-)

Apparently last night they were saying we were to get 6 inches. So far nothing...and now they are saying maybe just rain.

I can't trust a thing the weather people say, so I stopped listening. I left the house today in capris and sandals. Everyone thinks I'm nuts! :-)

Oh well. At least you have hope of snow. We never know if we'll get any or not. Sandals sound good to me! I love me some flip flops.

As crazy as our weather gets, you just never know around here. You hear them talk about rain-wrapped tornadoes....heck, you'll be seeing us on the news one day...."First time ever reported, snow-wrapped tornadoes destroy sections of large Nebraska city...news at 11:00."

I hope not! Not unless you'reyou know, at the beach or something! I had more scary moments with tornados when I lived in Oklahoma than I care to remember. Probably not helped by that tornado movie. Do you really get tornados right there?

Surprisingly, we didn't get many at all this year...but yep, we're right in the middle of tornado alley. Get them all the time, usually.

Had one close call last year, here at work. You could feel the roof being pulled at and lifted....but it didn't ever let go of the building, thank goodness!!

The tornado movie freaked me out. I admit it. The message hit a little close to home....and if you lived in OK, then you probably felt the same way?

Every time the sky turned that funky color I freaked out-on the inside I was a puddle of fear, searching for cast iron tubs and mattresses! If I was I a car my nails were working hard to punch holes in the upholstery. Funny now that I think about it. Major over reacting I'm sure because I don't remember a single tornado the entire year I lived there. I'm such a sissy sometimes.

Until moving to Omaha 3 years ago, we lived without a basement.

It was either live in complete fear, or just go with the flow. I learned (with the help of some advice from my dad) at an early age that the complete fear thing just got exhausting.

Now, even with a basement...you'll still find me outside watching the storm instead of hiding from it.

Now, having said that...I CONSTANTLY have nightmares about tornadoes. They always have human qualities about them....the damage is personal...they chase me. It's annoying as all hell. :-) :-)

True story-the kid(the little one)believes that tornados are very "human" and often asks what they eat. We tell her "cars, houses, trees, sometimes cows". Then she says "I don't it to eat my car!" I don't know where it comes from but we just go with it kinda low key.

I'm not sure where it comes from in my head either. Tell her they only eat Lexus and BMW or something. (giggle)
