I "found" a great little Hispanic farmers market the other day and stopped and got some fresh produce and dried beans.
Lovely stuff, all colorful and succulent.
Made tortillas last night from scratch.
Also lovely, soft and warm.
Veggie quesadillas for supper, a colorful patchwork on our plates.
Had so many thoughts running through my mind last night and have since forgotten them all.
And now, just writing to write.
I am so sleepy.
The Kid is exhausting me.
Still not unpacked all the way.
Still not caught up on laundry.
Still haven't looked at vacation pictures.
Still haven't done any yard work.
Wait...
Thinking of all these "still haven'ts" is exhausting me too.
Oh well.
I do at least have supper in the fridge.
HAH!
One thing done.
Oh wait...
I took a shower and blow dried my hair.
I read a book.
I folded laundry.
I washed dishes.
I piddled around online.
Piss...
I need a nap.

Nej the tortillas, SUPPER was very delicious. I kept thinking "I need to take pictures!" etc...just too lazy. Still too lazy.

I just can't believe you haven't look at the vacation pictures yet. I'm a nerd...it's usually the first thing I do. :-) :-)

Nej I have to admit I have no idea where my camera even is right now. Everything was so strewn around I just kind of tucked things here and there with no rhyme or reason. Not a very bright move on my part. I think it was the 3 beers right when I walked in the door that did it.

Life is what happens when you're busy making plans. I'm doubtless gonna die with books unready, laundry needing done, the kitchen floor needing to be mopped. However, like you, I will have food in the fridge. Did I ever tell you that my mother cooked for her own funeral? Seems like she had a bunch of frozen pies she had made and the funeral ladies who were helping serve dinner after the service pulled them out and served them up. They thought someone had brought them. I laughed and cried and ate the last piece of pie my mother ever made.

Spellbound-how poignant that must have been. Old Mother Hubbord I will never be if at all possible.

I LOVE that we live in a neighborhood of DC with a large Hispanic population, as tex mex is far and away my favorite kind of food. I stop at our "Mexi Mart" almost every day on the way home from work :-)

LiLu-I love how everything at this market is actually grown by the proprietors-very fresh, very local and also delicious! If only they sold tamales I'd be set.
