Flora and Fauna

I was sipping hot tea, blearily taking in the view outside the kitchen window when a sudden movement caught my eye.

Bringing my vision back into focus what did I see but a hummingbird sipping from some Queen Anne's Lace growing against the fence.

He didn't stay very long before flitting away, but my oh my, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful way to start my day.
